A Message from your School Administrators
|
Good Evening, Mayfield Community,
Mayfield Families,
Thank you for your continued partnership and support over the past couple of weeks. We know the recent data breach incident has created many challenges, and we are truly grateful for the way you have worked alongside our schools to ensure your child continued to show up, stay engaged, and stay focused on learning. We are proud of our staff for quickly adjusting over the past two weeks to ensure students continue to receive top-tier instruction here at Mayfield Intermediate School.
Although the PowerSchool Parent Portal remains unavailable at this time, families can still access important information about their child’s learning by logging into their child’s Schoology account. Schoology provides access to class materials, assignments, and teacher updates, and we encourage you to use it as a temporary resource until PowerSchool is restored.
As we head into Fall Break, we wish all our families a restful and enjoyable time with loved ones. We are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to serve this community each day. Mayfield Intermediate School is stronger because of you.
Have a fantastic weekend
Dr. Frischkorn, Principal
Mrs. Milhoan, 5th Grade Assistant Principal
Mr. Moore, 6th Grade Assistant Principal

The Next 2 Weeks Schedule |
|
|
Two Days of School Next Week |
Next week, students have only two days of school—Monday and Tuesday—before Fall Break begins. We’re aiming for 100% attendance on both days to ensure all students are up-to-date with their schoolwork and can head into the break feeling confident and prepared.
Thank you for helping us finish the week strong! Enjoy the upcoming Fall Break!

|
December 1st to December 5th |
As we return from Fall Break, school will resume on Monday, December 1, which will be a “D” day on students’ schedules. We are excited to begin three consistent weeks of learning, each with a full five days of school.
Throughout this week, our dedicated Safety Patrols will be hard at work preparing the Mayfield float for the Manassas Parade on Saturday, December 6. Be sure to look for our float—we’re proud to share that Mayfield has earned awards for our parade entries for the past two years!
We look forward to a strong and joyful start to December!

Accessing Student Grades and Interim Report Check-in |
The release date for the interim reports has been moved to December 5, 2025. This change is due to a recent outage in our student information system, which is the platform we use to store and report student grades. The additional time will ensure that all information is fully updated before reports are accessible online.
As always, we encourage you to reach out directly to your child’s teachers at any time if you would like an update on their academic progress or have questions about how they are doing in school. Open communication between home and school is essential, and we appreciate your partnership.

After School Clubs and Activities |
Spanish club is currently accepting applications. The Spanish club offers students the opportunity to learn basic Spanish vocabulary and to learn about the different Hispanic countries. You can pickThe up an application at the grade level offices to sign up to be part of the great club. |
After School Activity Bus Schedules |
|
|
After School Buses depart Mayfield at 4:20 PM
As the school year progresses and we introduce additional after-school clubs/activities and tutoring, it is essential to remind families that the after-school activity buses follow slightly different routes than our regular morning and afternoon bus routes. Please review the three different activity bus routes. You can find the closest street intersection on the bus route to know where students will be dropped off if they are riding the after-school activity bus.

The Student Code of Conduct helps all students and parents understand their school-related rights, responsibilities, and expectations of the school. It is not intended to be a comprehensive document covering all possible situations but to provide a framework that makes clear that students are expected to act responsibly and with respect for other human beings at all times.
Parents can download a copy of the Student Code of Conduct from our school division website.
